Assistant Scoutmasters Teach Scouts Home Repairs
|
|
Assistant Scoutmasters of Troop 220 offer a Home Repairs round robin for Scouts. They were prepared with all of the necessary visuals, examples and they all had clearly done a lot of work to put on the best demonstration possible for the Scouts. This falls squarely under the D(for Demonstrate) in the EDGE method. That is the example the PLC Scouts, who are usually tasked with putting on programs and patrol meetings, should be working from. If you look at the pictures above you will see these demonstrations were clearly not put together at the last minute, they were worked on and put together well beforehand. The ASMs showed up early to set up and get ready for their stations and were in a word, Prepared. That is the example that all Scouts, Scouters, and parents should follow.
Thank you to all of the adults out there, that volunteer their time to make all our programs run.

“Rules? There are no Rule.”
Well, that is not exactly true. But there are not too many.
1. The car must use at least one BSA Pinewood Derby Car base.
2. Cars must be completed by the age group the car is submitted in.
(obvious help can be given to youth where needed)
Other than those two rules you are free to do whatever you like. The crazier the better. Keep in mind the categories and go wild.
