The Longhouse Council is committed to providing the youth in our communities the opportunity to join the best youth development organization there is.

The Council Service Center offers a wide variety resources to aid in the recruitment process.

Cub Scout Spooktacular
Saturday, October 12th, 2019

Program will be the traditional Halloween theme including:
  • Pumpkin Carving 
  • Haunted Hayride 
  • Crafts 
  • Games
The focus for this Family Camp experience is fun and time spent with each other under the guidance of the camp staff, but yet causal enough to enjoy free time exploring Camp Woodland property in its Autumn Bloom.

Families who are staying over are encouraged to bring their own tents. Cabins are available for rent at an additional cost to packs and groups.

$35.00 per person, registration includes Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast. Day or overnight where you provide your own meals will be available for $10.00 per person.

Register early, spots are limited and registration will be capped at 400 participants. Registration deadline is 10/8/19.
Cub Scouts doesn’t happen without our parents and volunteers. It is, at its core, a family program .

FALL VENTUREE
This September the VOA is hosting a Venturee like never before! The theme is STEM, aka Science 👨‍🔬, Technology 👩‍💻, Engineering 👨‍🏭, and Math 👩‍📱. There will be many activities including slime making, shooting sports, and a CSI investigation! Venture scouts, Sea scouts, Boys and Girls in Scouts BSA (above the age of 14) are invited! The Venturee will be held from 9/20-9/ 22 at Camp Woodland, Constantia, NY. We'll see you STEM adventurers there! 🙋‍

Scouting University is a multitude of specialty sessions to help you gain new skills and abilities to become the very best Scout Leader possible. Trained Scouters help the youth of our community to be better leaders and citizens. It is the only time during the year where you can find the widest variety of training opportunities in all program areas, all in one place. Whether you are new to the Scouting program or a veteran Scouter, Scouting University provides informative and hands-on courses in Cub Scouting, Scouting BSA, and Venturing 
FEATURED ATTRACTIONS:
Wild Game/Fish Cooking demonstrations by professional chefs and Hall of Fame Sportsmen, Live pheasant display, Primitive Pursuits - tanning animal skins using natural materials, fire starting and survival. PHILMONT 2020 
Troop 369 has a couple of scout spots available on our trek to Philmont Scout Ranch. We plan to leave for Denver on Saturday, 8/1/2020 and return to Syracuse on Monday, 8/17/2020. 
Our trek dates are August 5-17, 2020 
We will be zip lining, whitewater rafting, and some landmark hiking before our trek begins.
