The Longhouse Council is committed to providing the youth in our communities the opportunity to join the best youth development organization there is.

The Council Service Center offers a wide variety resources to aid in the recruitment process.

Each District also has skilled volunteers and professionals who are able to help with ideas and suggestions for building and retaining membership. Click for contact info!

Cub Scout Spooktacular
Saturday, October 12th, 2019

Program will be the traditional Halloween theme including:
  • Pumpkin Carving 
  • Haunted Hayride 
  • Crafts 
  • Games
The focus for this Family Camp experience is fun and time spent with each other under the guidance of the camp staff, but yet causal enough to enjoy free time exploring Camp Woodland property in its Autumn Bloom.

Families who are staying over are encouraged to bring their own tents. Cabins are available for rent at an additional cost to packs and groups.

$35.00 per person, registration includes Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast. Day or overnight where you provide your own meals will be available for $10.00 per person.

Register early, spots are limited and registration will be capped at 400 participants. Registration deadline is 10/8/19.

Who should take this training?
All Scoutmasters and Assistants , all Cub Masters and Assistants and any interested Adult Leaders
Cub Leaders will complete the outdoor portion of their BALOO training.
Scout Leaders will complete the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) Training

Trained Scouters help the youth of our community to be better leaders and citizens. It is the only time during the year where you can find the widest variety of training opportunities in all program areas, all in one place. Whether you are new to the Scouting program or a veteran Scouter, Scouting University provides informative and hands-on courses in Cub Scouting, Scouting BSA, and Venturing
