I'm not concerned about the "environment". I'm concerned about the health of our relationship with the rest of nature. PAUL HAWKEN’s two previous books, DRAWDOWN: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming and REGENERATION: Ending the Climate Crisis in One Generation, offered solutions. His new book, CARBON: The Tree of Life takes a step back from the problem-solving approach of most of his work. In it, he calls us to a deeper understanding of our place in the scheme of things as absolutely essential - not just to deal with the climate crisis - though he might no longer use that term - but also with most of the other ways we fall short of what’s possible in our individual lives as well as the larger world.

Let’s Protect What We Love Together

by Project Regeneration - 03-31-2025

https://regeneration.org/news/250331-issue-88

My 20-minute commentary calls for Millennials and Boomers with shared values to forge a movement large enough, creative enough, diverse enough, and powerful enough to successfully confront the critical problems we face. 60s.2.0 - 21st century tech in the service of the best of '60s values - meets OK Boomer - the impatience of the young with the failures of the old.  "If the challenges we face are big enough to turn us against each other, then they must be big enough to bring us together."

On Free Forum we explore the lives, work and ideas of individuals I suspect hold pieces of the puzzle of a world that just might work. We look at new, innovative and provocative approaches to business, environment, health, science, politics and media. These days we also focus on resistance to Trump and moving toward the just and healthy society we need. It's all based on the fact that I believe we can do better and I want to find out how.

I share the principles and practices I've learned and taught for the past 15 years. It's a good introduction or a refresher. Enjoy, employ, and share. If you want to explore further, let me know. MessageMatters - temcnally@post.harvard.edu
