West Suburban Humane Society Received $20,000 Community Impact Grant from DuPage Foundation

The ability to provide access to quality veterinary care needed by animals that may have otherwise been euthanized in their original facilities is a critical part of our overall adoption program. Access to quality veterinary care is one of the most important services we can provide.

Not only is regular veterinary care important for an animal's health, it can be lifesaving when emergency care is needed. Thank you to the DuPage Foundation for supporting quality veterinary care for the cats and dogs at WSHS!

A Home for the Holidays: Meet Quasar!

Quasar’s story began in July when a group of amateur astronomers found her and her three kittens in a forest preserve. To our surprise, we soon discovered she was expecting again! Thanks to a loving foster home, this tiny overachiever gave birth to EIGHT kittens in August.

Most of her kittens have already been adopted, so it’s Quasar’s turn to find happiness. This curious adventurer loves chasing wand toys, splashing in her water bowl, and watching the world go by from the window. When it’s time to relax, she adores head scratches, belly rubs, and napping in sunny spots.

This sweet and petite girl would thrive in almost any home! Please help us find a loving foster or adoptive home for Quasar. Share her story, spread the word, and be her holiday hero.
