Meet Garcia, a 15-year-old Turkish Van/Mix, who was returned to our shelter after 12 years, when his owner became too sick to care for her.

One of the commitments we make to every animal that we adopt, is that there will always be a place for them here if their owner is no longer able to look after them. We will never turn one of our animals away.

As you can see, he looks very good for his age, and he has quite a bit of youthful energy that emerges when the toys come out. He loves batting at feathers or slapping at crinkly stuffies, and is just a snuggly guy who brings a lot of purrs. 

We’re hoping to find a home for Garcia as soon as possible – either to foster or adopt. Check out his profile to see if that home might be yours!

DOUBLE YOUR DONATION!

We are honored to be the recipient of the enormous generosity of the Summer Oaks Fund, who has allocated $20,000 as a ‘challenge match’ to grow our “Paw Pals” monthly donor program. They will match the first year of donations from all new and increased monthly donors, up to the $20,000 total annual match.

Our Paw Pals monthly donors are the backbone of our organization. They provide a steady flow of income, allowing us to keep our animals fed, our medicine cabinets filled, and our vet bills paid!

Just a $25 monthly donation, combined with the matching gift, will provide one meal a month for all of our cats and dogs. To achieve the full donation match, and to provide meals for all our animals all year long, we need just 65 donors to commit to a new donation of $25 per month.
