Meet Tonto, a 6-year-old hound mix who was adopted from our shelter in 2019, but returned to us after his owner died. One of the commitments we make to our animals is that we will always take them back, no matter the circumstances, and we were happy to take him in. This handsome guy is a social butterfly, and gets along with other playful dogs, people of all ages, and even cats! He is very affectionate, house-trained, and has excellent manners. 

Because of donors like you, we can ensure that all the animals that pass through our shelter will always have a place to call home (in between their forever homes). Your support helps us to care for animals like Tonto, providing above-and-beyond rescue care to animals with extra medical needs.

Our Annual Pawction event will be held at our adoption center from 5-8pm. Guests will enjoy barbeque and beverages, meet some of our adoptable animals, and enjoy some fun on-site games to help kick off the holiday season!



Plus, take the chance to view our amazing auction prizes in person, and take them home with you if you are the winner! 

Bidders do not need to be present to participate in the auction, but why not join us for some pre-holiday fun!

One of the October recipients of our Above and Beyond Rescue Care awards was the team at Gerald Subaru of Naperville.

Subaru's nominator says: “The team at Gerald Subaru of Naperville truly embodies the spirit of "Above and Beyond Rescue Care", and bring the phrase "Subaru Loves Pets" to life! In addition to supporting our signature events, such as Barkapalooza and Pawction, they make sure to sponsor our volunteer appreciation event each year and our PURRide kitten adoption event in June. They sponsored October's Adopt a Shelter Dog month specials as well as our Make a Dog's Day adoption event at their dealership.

Since 2015, they have provided more than $74,000 in financial support for our cats and dogs, and facilitated additional grants through their partnership with the ASPCA.”
