PAWESOME NEWS

YOUR DONATIONS AT WORK!

Meet Lolita, a 5-year-old terrier / pit bull mix, who came to us from Will County Animal Control.  She has had quite a few litters in her young life, and she really needed some TLC.  Upon arrival at WSHS we also learned that she was heartworm positive.

Lolita is now fully recovered and living in a foster home, waiting for her forever home.

Because of donors like you, we are able to care for animals like Lolita, who will go on to live a healthy life in their forever homes.

Melt away the stress with Sound Healing at WSHS!

Join Healing Sound Facilitator Monika Diebes from 360 Studios Naperville for a 60-minute session of recovery and relaxation as you listen to the peaceful and soothing sounds of various sound healing instruments.

Bring your mat, a pillow, comfortable clothes and open heart as the sounds of gongs, crystal singing bowls and other various healing instruments soothe your body, mind and spirit. All ages welcome.

Sessions will be followed by a 15-minute social with adoptable animals from West Suburban Humane Society (no animals will participate in the sessions.) Classes are held indoors at West Suburban Humane Society, 1901 Ogden Ave, Downers Grove.

We launched our Above and Beyond Rescue Care volunteer recognition program in mid-August and received more than a dozen nominations! Meet one of the inaugural recipients of this award: Rachel McCutcheon, a Saturday AM Kennel Volunteer.

Rachel's nominator said, "I think Rachel needs to be recognized for the significant sacrifice that she has made in fostering Faye - we all owe her a debt of gratitude for giving that sweet girl a fighting chance!"
