L4T TOUR: VIP RUBBER AND PLASTICS COMPANY
George, Sr., immigrated from the small island of Cypress to the United States with no extra schooling. He worked many hours day and night to get to where he is today, operating a hugely successful company with 240 employees. George, Jr. began his journey in the business at 8 years old, assisting his father in the plant. These gentlemen are outstanding role models for our L4T Students showing work ethic, determination, & passion for what they love will help one become fulfilled and happy in life. Showing up to work on time, discipline, consistently attending to work, and an open mind are the keys George, Sr, and George, Jr. gave to our L4T Students. Students Today Workforce Tomorrow
Paying it Forward....
Mr. George Phillips, Sr., Operations Manager and, his son, Mr. George Phillips, Jr., Plant Manager introduced our L4T Members to VIP Rubber/Plastics Company (VIP). VIP is the largest Plastics/Rubber Co. on the West Coast! The main plant is located in La Habra, CA. Our L4T kiddos learned rubber and plastics are an important resource which is completely recyclable and everything they manufacture is reused throughout the plant. The Minden plant produces everything from plastic underground tubing & piping to dock bumpers and rub railing, plus many more products.
