April 2021
We Want to Hear From You!

A survey was sent to all Executive Officers on Monday, March 29. The purpose of this survey is to learn more about your needs and how the Executive Officers Council can help.

The survey is just three questions and should take you a few minutes.

Please take the time to complete and submit by Friday, April 2.

If you did not receive the survey, please contact Rick Cochran and we will send you a direct link.
Register for the Membership Drive

The deadline for locals to register for the NAHB Membership Drive is April 30.

Locals can sign up for the Spring (April, May, June) or Fall (September, October, November) time periods.

At a time when everyone is looking for members and trying to bring in revenue, the Membership Drive is a perfect option. Once the HBA posts a net gain of +3 Builder and/or Associate members during its drive, the HBA earns $150! From that point, the HBA will earn $50 per new Builder or Associate member recruited.

CDC Extends Eviction Moratorium

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today modified and extended its eviction moratorium order until June 30, 2021. Due to a previous court ruling in which NAHB took part, this order should not apply to NAHB members, though non-members will need to comply with the CDC order.

This is a perfect example of how being a member pays since the only members are receiving the benefits of the lawsuit.

Did You Know?

Every Thursday, PBA will be posting short Did You Know? posts highlighting everything from member benefits to educational offerings and news from workforce development.

The goal is to raise interest in potential members and to remind current members of everything local, PBA, and NAHB membership has to offer.

Look for the weekly posts and share on your platforms.
Local of the Month - Lawrence County Builder Association

Connecting with legislators, educating members, helping the community, and so much more - that's what makes the Lawrence County BA so special. Learn more about all the great results that come from our April Local of the Month.

Meet Amy Kunselman, EO of the Lawrence County Builders Association

How long have you been an EO? "I have been the EO for 21 years. Prior to that, I worked as a part-time staff member for 4 years."
What do you like best about being an EO? "I work with a wonderful group of people and I have a great deal of respect for them. They support me, have become great friends and are a lot of fun to be around."
What is a “fun fact” about you that no one may know? "When I was younger (teenager), I loved dirt track stock car racing. I went to the local track with my brother every weekend. In 1977, we traveled to Williams Grove to see the National Open Sprint car race."
Lunch With Cindy

Every Wednesday at noon, PBA President Cindy Cepko sits down for a virtual 30-minute lunch with PBA members. The conversation is open to any topic that is impacting the home building industry. Plus, Cindy will share news from PBA.

From time to time, a special guest will join in to talk about issues facing the industry on a broader scale.

Access information is posted each week on social media, on the "Virtual Lunch with the President" page of the PBA website (under the NEWS tab), and in Trade Secrets.

Please join Cindy and share the links with your members.
April is New Homes Month
