By now all local associations should have registered for either the Spring or Fall Membership Drive. Don't forget that NAHB offers a variety of tools to help you meet your membership goals, increase retention, and engage current and potential members.

SLIF Applications Due May 24

The State and Local Government Affairs Committee is accepting applications for the State and Local Issues Fund (SLIF) through May 24. SLIF provides financial assistance to HBAs involved in advocacy efforts on issues affecting the affordability of homeownership. Questions? Contact Karl Eckhart.

How long have you been an EO? "I started on January 1, 2018." 
What do you like best about being an EO? "I love working with the builders. They are real, down-to-earth people that work hard for a living. No pretense."
What is a “fun fact” about you that no one may know? "As an Air Force brat, I have traveled extensively and have been to 49 states."

But please be sure to mark the dates on your calendars and urge your members to attend. Just a reminder that ALL members are invited and encouraged to attend. This is the chance they have to express their thoughts and get items on the agenda for the Summer Board of Directors Meeting.

May is National Remodeler Month
Don't forget to recognize your members who offer remodeling services in May. NAHB is offering a specialize tool kit to help you with ideas as well as customized articles.

PBA is currently interviewing a select remodelers for an article. We would be happy to share any such items from your local as well.

Every Wednesday at noon, PBA President Cindy Cepko sits down for a virtual 30-minute lunch with PBA members. The conversation is open to any topic that is impacting the home building industry. Plus, Cindy will share news from PBA.

From time to time, a special guest will join in to talk about issues facing the industry on a broader scale.
