Please push this information to your members as soon as possible. The special rate for the hotel is only available through September 15. Professional Women in Building Week

September 13-17 marks PWB Week. PBA will be celebrating the impact that women have made in the construction industry.

Currently there are PWB Chapters in the Greater Philadelphia Region, through the BA of Central PA, and the HBA of Berks County.

If you are interested in starting a chapter in your local, NAHB is providing guidance on how to set it up.

**REMINDER**
EOC Orientation Registration is Open

The EOC NAHB Orientation provides Executive Officers the opportunity to become familiar with NAHB’s programs, products, and services. Through networking with their peers and NAHB staff, EOs can more effectively articulate NAHB's benefits and the services it makes available to HBAs and members.

The program is scheduled for October 7-8 at the National Housing Center in Washington D.C. Funding of up to $1,255 (stipulations apply) is provided to all registered attendees. This figure is based on NAHB’s estimated costs to fully participate. Reimbursements will be made based on actual dollars spent on airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and a predetermined food allowance for meals not included in the event programming. Reimbursements are made payable to the HBA only.

For more information, please click on the link below and read ALL the details. Deadline for registration is September 24.

Have You Thanked Your Members?

September is Associate Appreciation Month and it is a great time to celebrate these important members.

As we all know, during 2020 the largest loss of members was in the Associate category. Take the time to shine the spotlight and let them know how critical they are to our mission.

PBA is spotlighting Associate Members throughout the month of September. Think of ways you can do this on a local level.
School is Back! Time to Reach out to the CTC/Endorsed Trade Schools

After an unpredictable school year, construction educators and students are focused on reviving club activities this fall. Now is the time to reconnect with your HBA’s affiliated chapters or reach out to a new construction education program in your backyard.

In conjunction with AMC, all executive officers were handed or mailed individualized packets containing current student chapter materials, status of affiliated chapters, and list of prospective chapters in your area. Please work to expand student chapters and connect the workforce of tomorrow.

Many HBAs cover partial or complete dues* of secondary chapters. Check in with your chapter’s faculty advisor as they will receive an emailed electronic chapter roster form and invoice payable by credit card. On the chapter roster, advisors are encouraged to recognize all students in construction programs and engaged in chapter activities.

Need ideas on how/why to engage with a secondary student chapter? This guide has it covered.

*Any new or existing secondary chapter may pay $200 and recognize an unlimited number of students as chapter members.

Available only during Aug. 15-Oct. 15, new or renewing post-secondary chapter faculty advisors may purchase “early bird” membership in the NAHB store for $400 and recognize an unlimited number of students as chapter members.
