John and Jane Bailey visited their parents to celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary.  Here is a photo John shared waving at them through the window with a sign.

This is another story of how our lives are impacted as we navigate the pandemic.  This story hits home.  We wish Jane's parents well and hope they have a big celebration next year, with family and friends.  Thank you, John, for sharing.

Pennsylvania Declared Federal Disaster Area
President Donald Trump on Monday declared Pennsylvania a federal disaster area, opening up federal funding for the state's fight against the coronavirus.
Trump's declaration came after Gov. Tom Wolf applied to have Pennsylvania join other states that have declared a disaster.

The number of coronavirus cases in Pennsylvania increased by 687 to 4,087 Monday, a single-day increase of slightly more than 20%, health officials said. The state has had 48 deaths due to the virus. It has 26 counties under stay-at-home orders, which have been extended to April 30, and non-life-sustaining businesses statewide have been ordered to keep their physical operations closed.

The president's declaration makes federal funding available to eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations for emergency protective measures, including direct federal assistance, for all areas in the state affected by COVID-19.

Importantly, these loans may be forgiven if borrowers maintain their payrolls during the crisis or restore their payrolls afterward.

The administration soon will release more details including the list of lenders offering loans under the program. In the meantime, U.S. Chamber of Commerce issued this guide to help small businesses and self-employed individuals prepare to file for a loan.    Click here to download.
