Election Law Update
Changes Remain for Upcoming Midterm Elections
Earlier this month, an appellate court reinstated challenged provisions of Senate Bill 90 (SB 90). Signed into law after the 2021 Legislative Session, sections of SB 90 relating to voting by mail, 3rd party voter registration organizations, and other changes affecting voters and the voting process were struck down by a lower court in March. After an appellate court reinstated these provisions, the new requirements that your Palm Beach County Elections Office enacted this year will continue to apply through the upcoming midterm elections. In addition, we’ll now implement the provisions of Senate Bill 524 that had earlier been deemed unenforceable. If you have questions about voting in Palm Beach County, we are here to help!

Supervisor Wendy Sartory Link teamed up with the Women of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to support their Clear the Shelter Campaign. Stopping by the Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, she helped showcase dogs in need of a permanent home. Special thanks to all the rescue partners and community leaders who continue to participate in this incredible effort to get 50 or more sweet and loving pooches adopted by June 2nd!

Elections Experience Tour
Public Attended an Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Look
Back by popular demand, your Elections Team hosted another Elections Experience Tour on May 4th when the public and media got to participate in a behind-the-scenes learning experience on how ballots are mailed, verified, and tabulated to ensure every vote counts. Supervisor Wendy Sartory Link led four guided tours through each step of the elections process from start to finish at our Voting Equipment Service Center.

If you didn’t get a chance to attend the sold out in-person tour, we’re pleased to offer you the full experience online. Our Virtual Elections Experience Tour lets you take the tour from whenever and wherever it is convenient for you. Watch the full series below:
