Tech Trek Nomination Form

Tech Trek Florida for Girls!

Nominations due December 15

From building model bridges, designing computer applications, programming robotic cars, being a marine biologist for a day and exploring wind power, more women are now making an impact in STEM. Local girls can now experience science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through Tech Trek, a residential STEM camp for rising 8th grade girls.

Participating girls all share an interest in pursuing a STEM career, and participation in the program (save a $50 registration fee) is sponsored by AAUW. Campers reside in dorms at Florida Atlantic University in Jupiter, FL and attend core classes in STEM during the week of June 15th through the 21st.

Help identify girls who may not have exposure to inspiring STEM programs. Tech Trek Website

FIRST® LEGO® - Volunteers Needed

FIRST® LEGO® League is looking for judges and referees for our upcoming Regional Championship on January 18 at The Palm Beach State College Palm Beach Gardens Campus.

FIRST® LEGO® League introduces STEM to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experiences as today’s students and educators build a better future together. FIRST LEGO League helps students explore and apply their critical thinking and design skills and build habits of learning and teamwork through a guided, global robotics program with three age-appropriate divisions.

In this year's SUBMERGED℠ challenge, teams will use creative thinking and LEGO® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring their learnings and ideas to the surface as they “sea” into the future.

Volunteers can sign-up through the FIRST website by searching for the South Florida Regional Championship.
