We’re almost there: just 15 days until opening night and the world premiere of Michael McKeever’s The People Downstairs!
We’re also gearing up for the return of two very popular initiatives, Dramawise (December 2) and OutStage@pbd (December 10). Dramawise, for the uninitiated, is a two-part program that delves into each of our mainstage productions prior to the opening of each play. Act I is a comprehensive discussion of the play’s themes, characters, and social relevance led by Director of Education and Community Engagement Gary Cadwallader. Act II provides an intimate look at PBD’s production by the cast and artistic team. In between – what we call intermission – is lunch at a local restaurant. You may choose to attend all or a portion of the program.
OutStage@pbd is a special evening for each mainstage production that engages and inspires the LGBTQ community. Evenings include a pre-show reception, the production, and a post-show reception.
Dramawise scheduling and pricing information for 2021-2022 follows. Act I runs from 10am to 11:30am. Lunch is from 11:45am to 12:45pm. Act II runs from 1pm to 2pm.
