Pine Bluff Benefits as a Main Street Arkansas City
As a Main Street Arkansas city, and an accredited member of Main Street America through Pine Bluff Downtown Development, the downtown area of Pine Bluff has benefited from funds received through the Arkansas Heritage Preservation Grant Project. In 2021, over $20,000 has been spent on the following projects that enhance spaces around the new Streetscape.
The Crepe Myrtle trees in the planters at Barraque Plaza were trimmed back and new azaleas were planted around the trees.
Barraque Garden received all new landscaping, as well as maintenance on the Crepe Myrtle trees. Two new Ginko trees were also added.
Third & Main Street Park was cleared of all the old existing overgrown bushes and replaced with new landscaping and lighting for the Main Street Mural.
RJ's Sports Grill & Bar received assistance with the purchase of new outdoor signage on the corner of the building facing both Second and Main Streets.
Enchanted Land of Lights and Legends Open
The Pine Bluff Festival Association has opened the Enchanted Land of Lights and Legends in Regional Park. Known as the state's largest drive through of holiday lights, the exhibit has over 120 static and animated displays. Open from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. through December 31st. Admission is free, however, donations are accepted.
