Arts & Science Center to Begin Renovations "The Annex"
ASC has received a $2.2 million grant from the Windgate Foundation. The grant will make it possible to renovate and utilize the building known as "The Annex" as a multi-use space in support of ASC's expanded community engagement initiative, The ARTSpace for Creative Thinking & Entrepreneurship. The renovation will provide office and studio spaces for an arts education community and extended teaching artist residences; classrooms to accommodate multiple school groups, theatre youth workshops; a public gallery space for UAPB art students, school youth and regional artists; and a community gathering space to hosts monthly art night events. Beginning renovations are targeted to begin in June 2020 with a goal of opening The ARTSpace by the end of 2020.
