Members of Perdido Bay United Methodist Church,

I am asking each one of you to follow this link and complete the following survey.

On Friday, March 13, 2020, I announced to the congregation that Sunday’s service would be an online only offering in the interest of Public Health and Safety. We praise God for this decision that we and most other congregations around the US made because we know now that unfortunately other congregations were not able to suspend in-person gatherings and this created a more rapid spread of the novel Coronavirus. Each day since March 13, I have done all in my God-given abilities to best lead the congregation through this unprecedented time, and I am grateful to God for Dr. Levi Gardner and each member of our staff team who have excelled in decision making and creative ministry implementation. We have met every need of which we have been made aware, and we have tried innovative ways to continue to worship, serve, fellowship, and grow disciples.
We have attempted to be as responsive as possible to the many governmental and health agencies issuing orders and offering advice on public safety, and to the many of you who have shared thoughts on how to continue to be the church God has called us to be during this time. On April 23, we created the PBUMC Covid-19 Task Force at the instruction of our denomination. The purpose of the Task Force is to help guide us in achieving our mission and vision in the midst of this pandemic. I am grateful for the members of this Task Force who have worked diligently to accomplish their goals. To guide our work, we hope you will take a few minutes to inform of us of how you feel about the future ministries of our congregation. The task Force and staff will be using your responses to this survey as we shape the next several months of our life together. Thank you for your time.
We will continue to be the heart of the community.
God’s Peace,
David Saliba
