People of Color, Younger People Asked to Serve on Special Committees

The General Assembly of PC(USA) seeks applicants to serve on several special committees. While nominations are open to anyone, the assembly wishes to increase the number of applications from people representing communities of color and people who are 35 years old and younger. This helps the committees represent a diversity of backgrounds. The deadline to apply is November 11.

Andrzejewski To Be Installed November 6

Presbytery of the James invites you to celebrate the installation of Rev. Josh Andrzejewski as associate pastor for spiritual development at First Church, Richmond. The service will be Sunday, November 6, at 5:00 p.m.

Handyperson Needed

Occasionally, the presbytery office needs a handyperson to help with simple repairs. If a person in your congregation would like assist the presbytery on a voluntary basis, please direct them to Barbara Espigh, associate for administration.

Survey for Christian Education Workers and Volunteers

PC(USA) is conducting a survey of people who work or volunteer in Christian education and formation. This includes Bible study leaders, camp and conference leaders, campus ministers, and those who engage in similar educational activities within a PC(USA) church, seminary, school, or institution. This short survey should only take about five minutes.

Into the Church Triumphant

Rev. David McFarlane (Honorably Retired) entered the Church Triumphant on October 16. A resident of Charlottesville, Rev. McFarlane pastored churches in New York and Pennsylvania before joining POJ in 2004. A private service of committal is planned for November 5.
