WATER
Thru 9/28

Poster design by George Lewis

The many facets of water include too much, too little, a teardrop, a stream, a cloudburst, on the beach, and traces it leaves behind. Many artists have represented the attributes of water literally, metaphorically, symbolically, or allegorically in mythology, religion, and folklore. Here is a small sampling of the exhibit.

DAY OF THE DEAD
9/29-11/1

Wall of Remembrance, Ajijic, Mexico
The fifth annual exhibit celebrating El Dia de los Muertos is coming up and you are invited to participate. The Day of the Dead is rich in cultural significance in many parts of the Latino world, and lends itself to the imagination of artists to capture its traditions, icons, and history. In Mexico, special songs, poems, food, and toys are created. Whimsical skulls and skeletons, “papel pic-ado” (perforated paper) and marigolds are also part of the iconography that artists can interpret. Entry form may be obtained at the PCA Gallery or via the PCA website at www.pca-az.net
FEATURED ARTIST WALL
FRANK CUVA
Thru 9/28

Frank writes: I started rather late in life to begin my photographic journey. He joined the San Fernando Camera Club in CA, where he won Photographer of the Year and five ribbons (out of a possible six) at their Regional competition. Then I moved to Prescott. Photography hit a new standard in this beautiful town….more talented artists in this one town than all of Southern California! He joined the Prescott Camera Club, Prescott Digital Camera Club, The Artist Guild of Prescott Valley, and Mountain Artist Guild. He further states: Each club helped my growing experience.
THEATRE LOBBY DISPLAY
