Hello Everyone,

When you're having fun, time flies, right? I must be having a ball, because I honestly can't believe this Sunday is Christmas Eve. Have I told you all my mom and sister are flying in from Austria? They are, and yours truly gets to drive to Toronto to pick them up this weekend. They are my super duper Christmas presents because it makes me very happy that mom was willing to make the journey to see our new home in The City and just be able to hang out for a precious ten days. I'm so looking forward to spending time with her, and my sister, and giving them a tour of this lovely facility.

How are your holiday plans going?
Have you shopped, wrapped, baked, written, mailed, and decorated? Have you played Santa and dispersed your good wishes and gifts to all who deserve them? Are you exhausted?? It just isn't Christmas if you're not exhausted, so if you're not, come in to the PCC and trek around the track a few times to really get yourself into that seasonal state of mind. That way, when the day after Christmas rolls around, you can go "Aaaaaaaahh!" with conviction, just like the rest of us, as we sink into the couch and sip on something pleasant.
THANK YOU (!!) to all of you who have included Maggie and myself on your holiday lists. I know I can speak for Maggie when I say that you make us feel very special and make our jobs so lovely. May your generosity be reciprocated a thousand fold and may your positive energy be unending! Thank you again!

Another thank you to everyone who attended last night's Mingle & Jingle event! I apologize for the raucous of dishes in the kitchen that may have disturbed the acoustics. Our dishwasher decided to break down late yesterday afternoon and our volunteers took on the crisis with rolled up sleeves and determination.

Another thank you to Meredith Stockman-Broadbent, one of our esteemed Town Council members, who brought in her electric piano yesterday and provided seasonal atmospheric background music to the halls of the PCC and the Retired Women's Club holiday meeting. Thank you, Meredith! Come play here ANY TIME!

There's some more new programming coming up next month that you may enjoy:

Lunch menus are up and please remember these aren't for next week, but the week after!

There will be a tour of Pike Studios - a third generation Rochester based stained glass studio, renown nationally for its skill in executing stained glass projects and repairs to precious windows. This tour will certainly be fascinating! Click HERE to check out their website and see all the amazing projects they have worked on.

A trip coming up right at the start of February, is yet another Monsignor Schnacky production over at the St. Catherine of Siena Community Center. I've been promised that the performance will not go on as long as last year. There will be a school bus bringing everyone over to the event.

January's tech seminar with Dan Jones will encompass digital music. As always, even if you are only remotely interested in the subject-of-the-month, come anyway, because with every lesson, you will become incredibly more tech savvy.

Rosemary Irwin will be presenting her January seminar on the geographical history of the Finger Lakes. Such a beautiful location; such an interesting subject!

There will also be beginning paint classes provided by our in-house art instructors; Lesley Shakespeare and Danica Glamack. Check them out!

January's blood pressure clinic dates have also been posted. As always, the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, in the PC front lobby.

Next week will be the last week to purchase gift certificates with the $10 bonus for every 50 you purchase. Buy a bunch and save a lot of money on this year's fitness passes!

So that's it for the next two weeks as I won't be posting anything "fresh" next week. Maybe I'll run into you in town somewhere, or at a museum,... Enjoy the holiday break, have fun, be festive, and sparkle!

Merry happy everything!

All the best,
Anke
