Greenville Spinners Leaf Tour Supports PCC!
What a beautiful day it was for a bike ride on gorgeous mountain roads!

Saturday, October 29th, 120 registered riders left Cherokee Valley Country Club in northern Greenville county for a 21 or 54 mile tour of the rural roads and gorgeous views on the Spinners' annual Leaf Tour.

Proceeds from the ride support PCC and we say THANK YOU to the Spinners and everyone who rode. See our social media for more pictures from the day.

Local Spotlight:
Charleston making moves with USDOT!!!
U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and House Majority Whip Rep. James E. Clyburn recently visited Charleston. We are proud that local partners Charleston Moves and East Coast Greenway Alliance were present during this bipartisan discussion with local leaders about cooperating to move multi-modal investments forward in Charleston county! SCDOT was heard saying "we [SCDOT] understand we can't pave our way out of all traffic congestion." Cheers to that!
Good Read:
Norfolk Southern, SC nonprofits negotiate over future Saluda Grade trail
The 31-mile proposed rail trail on the inactive Saluda Grade railroad line is still in negotiations with Norfolk Southern. The non profits Conserving Carolina, Upstate Forever and PAL: Play. Advocate. Live Well., are working towards purchasing the railroad property from Norfolk Southern. Half of those 31 miles are in SC, through Inman, Campobello and Landrum. The project already received a $5 million earmark from the S.C. Legislature.
