Apply for Training

Applications for admission to the PCC’s Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training program and Psychoanalysis Training program will be accepted through the annual admissions deadline of March 15. Students accepted for matriculation will be admitted for the fall semester. There is one application process regardless of the training program selected.

Applicants who are accepted may elect to enroll in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training program or the Psychoanalysis Training program. Students choose their training program after they are accepted and may begin coursework before making their choice.

As always, the PCC offers a range of introductory and elective courses that are open to mental health professionals who are not participating in one of our training programs.

Applicants who would like to matriculate in the fall semester must submit their application materials by March 15.

Drawing on decades of clinical work and research, Dr. van der Kolk shared insights into how traumatic experiences shape both mind and body. The event brought together clinicians and community members for a meaningful conversation about trauma-informed care and healing.

Member Highlights

PCC faculty member, Allen R. Dyer, MD, PhD, has spent a lifetime exploring the human mind—through psychiatry, ethics, global mental health, and in his writing. We are proud to announce that his latest book, Madness and the Political Divide, will be published by Routledge on January 23. In this book, Dr. Dyer tackles one of the most urgent issues of our time: denial in the face of existential fears. “What I hope will be the solution to this problem is to face our fears head on and work together in concert, not only with people with different political views, but also people from all over the world, to address problems that affect everybody.”
