Please join us in congratulating Ashland Thompson, PsyD, on completing the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Certificate program of the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas (PCC).
Dr. Thompson is a dedicated clinical psychologist and a licensed practitioner in North Carolina. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he specializes in providing in-depth psychological assessments and treatment within a psychodynamically-oriented clinic. His clinical expertise extends to providing diagnostic and treatment services, clinical supervision, and consultation in educational settings. Dr. Thompson's practice focuses on complex cases involving children and families, particularly those from ethnic and racial minority backgrounds, with whom he meets twice weekly. His commitment to multicultural competence and social justice is evident in his extensive work with diverse populations, for whom he strives to provide culturally sensitive and effective care.
