SHOW ME YOUR GLORY
by David R. Wells // PAOC.org

Divine purpose and calling are a strong focus for our family of churches and ministries at this time. Without called people—volunteer or credentialed—the mission we have been given as God’s people will not be accomplished. We are “The Called Ones” who only demonstrate the Lord’s greatness, love and grace when we align with His purposes.
How we respond as a church or ministry—individual or family—when confronted by a major setback will inevitably determine if we fulfil our divine purpose and calling. The question is not, “Will the setbacks come?” but “Will we obediently persevere to see God’s kingdom come and will be done in us and our context?”
In Exodus 33:17–18, we read Moses’s passionate cry in response to the Lord’s affirmation of him. “And the Lord said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’ Then Moses said, ‘Now show me your glory.’”

WYOMING MINISTRY NETWORK ELECTS
NICOLE HEIDT AS SUPERINTENDENT
by Jim Van Veen // AG News

Nicole Heidt becomes the first woman in the history of the Assemblies of God to be elected as superintendent of a district or network.
Nicole B. Heidt broke new ground in the Assemblies of God as she became the first woman elected as a district/network superintendent in the Fellowship’s 111-year history during the Wyoming Ministry Network’s annual conference held April 6-8 in Casper. Heidt, who was elected to serve as the Wyoming Ministry Network’s secretary/treasurer in 2020, is also the lead pastor at First Assembly of God in Rock Springs.
The Assemblies of God has a long history of supporting women in ministry. Three women currently serve on the Fellowship's Executive Presbytery, including Donna Barrett, general secretary. Currently, 29% (11,046) of all AG credentialed ministers in the U.S. are women—a percentage growing annually since 1994 (15.2%).

GAINING HEAVEN'S PERSPECTIVE
by Rev. Kevin Rogers // Coastal Church

“And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe."
– Jesus in John 14:29
When it comes to perspective, you’ve probably heard some of these common sayings:
- “Let’s put things in perspective.”
- “It’s all a matter of perspective.”
- “We need to have a fresh perspective.”
Usually, when significant events or challenges take place in our lives or the world, we can find ourselves searching for meaning or perspective. Someone might ask, “Why is this happening?” or “How can I process and make sense of this?”
If we can’t see our way through a crisis or struggle with situations beyond our control, we often seek advice and look to someone who has experience and expertise to gain their perspective.
And usually when we gain a fresher or clearer perspective on something troubling in our lives, there’s almost an immediate sense of relief—we feel at peace. We gain a new understanding and confidence that things are going to turn out okay.
The opposite is also true. If we lack a clear perspective on our lives and the world around us, we will struggle to find peace. We’ll find ourselves dealing with anxiety and frustration because we can’t make sense of what we see in the world.

COMPLETE THE COMMISSION
by Bishop Scotty Poole // Congregational Holiness Church

What is the Great Commission? It is the command that once we are one with Christ, we are given instructions to make sure others hear, see, and receive what we have in Christ. The command is fairly simple: To go, to preach (or proclaim), and to teach (or make disciples). These commands clearly state where we must go, preach, and teach. It is for all nations and the world. This begins in our home, moves across the street, into our surrounding communities, and eventually into the world. This is a big command that we are all directed to be a part of, but God has a plan for us all to be a part of the Great Commission. His plan for us is in Acts 1:8, where Jesus promises to empower us with the Holy Ghost so we can be witnesses for the Great Commission. The layout of the Great Commission is seen in the progression of where the disciple will go. Beginning at home and ending in the uttermost part of the earth.
When we begin to talk about going into the world, we use the term "world missions." We can find an intentional purpose of God to send men and women into the world in Acts 13:1–3. The Holy Spirit speaks in a local church service to separate Barnabas and Saul (later changed to Paul) to do what God had separated them to do. And so began a series of missionary journeys by Paul. He and others were completing the Commission by going into the world to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and these missionary journeys are still ongoing today. From then to now, many Christians have never had the chance to go to the uttermost parts of the earth, so how were they a part of World Missions? Many gave to the needs of world missions. Paul wrote in Philippians 4:15–16, commending the Philippians for sharing so the work could continue.

THE PASSING OF
POPE FRANCIS
by David Wells // PCCNA President

PCCNA, President, Rev. David Wells met with Pope Francis in 2017 at the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Catholic Charismatic movement. The Pope insisted Pentecostal leaders be invited.
As a participant in the International Catholic-Pentecostal dialogue, David sent this message to our Catholic friends and colleagues on hearing of Pope Francis’ passing.
“We in the Pentecostal/Charismatic community share with you in this time of loss and contemplation on the passing of Pope Francis. He has left a legacy that has impacted not only your communion, but the broader church and the global community as well. As David Cole, PCCNA Christian Unity Commission Chair has noted “We remember with gratitude Pope Francis’ love for Pentecostals and Evangelicals, and his challenge to the Charismatic Renewal to serve the whole Body of Christ, including the poor and marginalized.”
On (our) behalf please extend our loving and prayerful support to Cardinal Koch and our colleagues at the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity. Those of us who have met with Pope Francis have valued our opportunities to meet and interact with him.
Sincerely, with resurrection hope, your brother in Christ,
Rev. David Wells
