FOURSQUARE DISASTER RELIEF
RESPONDS TO FIRES IN LOS ANGELES
by Foursquare News
| |
|
The Pacific Palisades and Eaton Fires, along with smaller fires (Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset), have devastated the greater Los Angeles area, forcing almost 200,000 people to evacuate, including Foursquare pastors, One Team employees and congregation members.
Wildfires have destroyed wildlands, cities, and neighborhoods across Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Pasadena, West Hollywood, and the northern San Fernando Valley, with thousands of homes burned. At least 10 Foursquare churches are within these evacuation zones.
Foursquare Disaster Relief (FDR) is actively collaborating with the Western and National Hispanic Districts to support the response. Five Foursquare churches in the affected regions are serving displaced community members. An FDR rapid response team is on the ground distributing generators, sleeping bags, cots, water filtration systems, internet access, and other critical supplies to churches acting as community support centers.
In just seven days, 15 Foursquare churches have stepped up to provide:
- Emergency overnight shelter for families in need of refuge.
- Housing connections within congregations to host displaced families.
- Distribution of emergency supplies and essential items to those affected.
- Food banks and grocery distribution to ease immediate burdens.
- Relief centers and day shelters, offering safe spaces for families and remote workers to charge devices, connect to the internet, and find community.
- Emotional and spiritual care, providing comfort and hope to individuals and families during this time of crisis.

OUR CONDOLENCES
on the passing of Theresa Campbell
| |
|
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of the beloved First Lady Theresa Clark-Campbell, wife of Pastor Aaron Campbell of The Rising Sun Outreach congregation in Memphis and a cherished member of the local PCCNA family. Aaron Campbell has led our Race Relations Commission for several years. Theresa had joined Aaron for the last few years at the PCCNA Annual Conference.
First Lady Theresa was a shining light in her community and was known for her unwavering faith, grace, and dedication to God’s work. Her love for the ministry and her ability to inspire others will forever be remembered and cherished.
Please continue to lift Aaron and the Campbell family in prayer as they journey through this difficult season of grief. May the God of all comfort surround them with His perfect peace.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4).

CHURCH HEALTH COMMISSION
February 19 from 9 a.m. to 12noon
by Alton Garrison // Assemblies of God
| |
|
Steps Toward a Healthier Church
- There is hope for every local church. The kingdom of God is not about numbers; it is about stories. Every local church, regardless of size, can write them.
- God has a unique, Spirit-empowered dynamic for every congregation.
-
Every pastor needs a team—people who care, people who believe, people who can think, and people who will dream.
- An honest assessment provides the “burning platform” from which to launch an effective change journey. We simply cannot stay here! Our intended future is beyond the boundaries of our current reality.
- Everything starts with vision. Lost vision in the pew is the primary cause of the plateau in the local church.
- Outward focus is the essential catalyst for greater church health. One hundred percent of your church’s growth potential is found in people who are not there yet.
- Aligning values and strategies around a clear vision will most effectively propel the local church toward fulfilling Christ’s mission.
- Strategy and the pursuit of the Spirit are not in opposition, but each requires the other to fulfill one’s purpose. God is the greatest planner in the history of the world. The question is, do you think He will let you in on His plans for your church?
- Communication is critical.
No local church has a future until its dreams are greater than its memories.
For those unable to attend the meeting in person in Cabo San Lucas, you are invited to join us online via Zoom. Email Austin Jacobs via ajacobs@ag.org to register.
We invite all PCCNA member organizations to make their ministers aware of this learning opportunity.

I greet you today with a heart full of gratitude and grace. I am truly honored to have been elected as the 12th presiding prelate of our great church, The United Holy Church of America. I honor God for the opportunity afforded me. I respectfully honor my predecessor the Rt. Rev. Harry L. Cohen and Elder Linda Cohen, who mentored and supported this elevation. I am also grateful to our three daughters, my siblings, and sons-in-law along with our seven grandchildren, your support is valued beyond measure. To my mother who has gone on to be with the Lord, her impact on my spiritual formation is immeasurable.

FOREVER A NEW CREATION:
HOW GOD LED ME FROM
REFUGEE ROOTS TO A LIFE OF MISSION
by Soukham Khanthavixay // Open Bible Message Online
| |
|
The diaspora of the Tai Dam refugees in 1975 to Des Moines, Iowa, fueled a first generation of Tai Dam Americans adapting to new ways of life, blending language, culture, and embracing the numerous opportunities in the US. I was part of that first generation. Three years after my parents’ settlement in Iowa, I was born and became the first in my family to acquire an American education and step into a church. We were blessed to have Christian sponsors who helped us transition from our homeland to America.
