THE AGONY OF CARING

Overseer, Grupo de Unidad

This year, we are excited to host our PCCNA conference in beautiful Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, on February 19–20, 2025. It will be held at the luxurious "Corazon Cabo Resort & Spa." As a member of the PCCNA Executive Committee and the representative for our Mexico chapter, I extend a heartfelt welcome to you and pray that I see you there. Los Cabos is not only a fantastic vacation destination with perfect weather in February—especially since summer can be quite hot—but it is also one of the safest regions in our country, adding an extra layer of comfort to our gathering. However, this event is more than just a getaway; it is an extraordinary opportunity for a spiritual awakening our nations and the North American continent desperately need.
Throughout the years, I have come to understand that purpose ignites passion. Yet, it is too easy for purpose to fade into routine—our churches, relationships, and work can become mere habits. Only when we reconnect with our core purpose can we reignite that intense passion, that unquenchable fire within us. Nehemiah exemplified this when he learned of the burdens facing his family, people, and nation. He fell to his knees and fervently cried out to God, pouring out his heart in a deeply personal prayer. The passion stirring within him compelled him to return to a land laid to waste, vulnerable, and defenseless against its enemies.

PENTECOSTAL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY RECEIVES $1.25 MILLION LILLY GRANT | |
|
Cleveland, TN–Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) has received a $1.25 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help establish the “Flourishing Congregational Life” (FCL) project. The project is being funded through Lilly Endowment’s Thriving Congregations Initiative.
The aim of the initiative is to “encourage the flourishing of congregations by helping them deepen their relationships with God, enhance their connections with each other, and contribute to the vitality of their communities and the world.”
FCL will offer assessment tools for participating congregations, helping ministry leaders and their congregants review and reflect on how their missional vision can be faithfully re-imagined and realigned with the new and emerging issues, concerns, and trends facing the churches in North America. Eligible congregations will come from the following Pentecostal denominations: Church of God, Church of God of Prophecy, and Church of God in Christ. The pastors and select lay leaders of the participating congregations will be invited to an in-person conference designed to help them re-strategize and develop new (or renewed), actionable plans for congregational ministry. The conference will be followed by subsequent monthly consultations for the next five months, helping congregations implement the newly designed ministry plans.

HOSTED BY: Rev. Joe Oden, PCCNA Evangelism Commission Chairperson and
Rev. Tim Enloe

The Ignite and Recharge conference is specifically designed to provide fellowship, encouragement, and practical tools to vocational evangelists and those exploring the call. We encourage you to consider anyone in your church or ministry who might benefit from attending. We are confident that by the end of the conference, attendees seeking God's guidance on whether they are called to be evangelists will have a clearer sense of direction as they discern their calling. Evangelists registering for Ignite and Recharge will also receive a complimentary admission to the Ignite Evangelism Conference.
The Ignite Conference is a day-and-a-half event aimed at equipping leaders and believers with effective strategies to reach their communities and be more impactful in their efforts to spread the gospel. The conference will feature several dynamic speakers, including:
- Donna Sparks – Prison Ministry
- Johnny Jernigan – Church Mobilization
- Chris Mikkelson – Citywide Church Outreach
- Sean Smith – Prophetic Evangelism
- Tiff Shuttlesworth – Topic TBD
- Breakout Sessions will also cover topics such as:
- How to Share Your Testimony
- How to Write a Personal Tract
- Marsha Mansour, Doug Clay, Tim Enloe, Joe Oden, and Sam Rijfkogel – Additional Speakers
A key focus throughout the conference will be the role and significance of the Holy Spirit in all aspects of outreach and evangelism—from personal baptism in the Spirit to operating in the gifts of the Spirit beyond the church walls.
We encourage your participation in the Ignite Conference. Registration details are included below.

CCT ANNUAL FORUM 2024
OCTOBER 8–11, MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
| |
|
A panel about the 30th anniversary of the 1994 “Memphis Miracle” will be at Mason Temple Church of God in Christ on Thursday, October 10. The moderator will be CCT Executive Director Rev. Dr. Monica Schaap Pierce, who attends the annual PCCNA conferences. Panel members will be Church of God in Christ Bishop Brandon Porter and International Pentecostal Holiness Church Rev. Dr. Harold D. Hunter. Bishop Porter and Dr. Hunter were present for the 1994 founding of PCCNA. Dr. Hunter is one of four who signed the original “Racial Reconciliation Manifesto.” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King gave his final public speech at Mason Temple the night before his assassination.
PCCNA marked the 25th anniversary of the “Memphis Miracle” at the Mason Temple Church of God in Christ. The keynote address was by Church of God in Christ Presiding Bishop Charles Blake. Those in attendance stood and read aloud the “Racial Reconciliation Manifesto.”
Dr. Harold Hunter, PCCNA Unity Commission Co-Chairperson, will attend the CCT Annual Forum as a “participant representative” since IPHC is a charter member of CCT. Rev. Dr. David Cole, PCCNA Unity Commission Chairperson, attended as an “official observer” on behalf of PCCNA in 2023. Others can attend as an “ecumenical guest.”
