The foodbank is currently open for a limited number of volunteers and is looking to recruit volunteers to assist them.
As an essential service provider, they have been packing and distributing emergency food boxes, as well as maintaining their regular programs since March. Many of the disaster relief teams that have made this possible, now find that they need to demobilize. Unfortunately, the need has not diminished and they could really use our help.
They are currently open Monday through Friday for two shifts, 9 am - 12 pm and
1 pm - 3:30 pm. All volunteers must be at least 14 years old and those age 14-15 must be accompanied by a parent. Sign-up on their website HERE or email Lauren Snyder , their volunteer services manager.
The FoodBank is taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff. Temperatures are taken before entering the building, gloves and masks are required, and all volunteers must sign a COVID-19 waiver. We also adhere to social distancing guidelines and encourage frequent hand washing.
They know that many groups are unable to organize at this time but they can take individuals, families, and small groups. Anything would be a help right now!
