Library in The SpotLight!
About the Viney Jones Library
A Little History:
Viney Jones was a Florence Librarian that worked for the town of Florence from 1978 to 1997. She ran the old Florence library out of what is now the Florence Senior Center at 330 N. Pinal Street. Viney Jones died in 2001 and to honor her name and dedication to her craft, the Florence Town Council voted to name the library portion of the Town of Florence Library and Community Center the Viney Jones Memorial Library.
Maker Space:
The library hold a variety of maker space equipment in the Library Learning Commons that can be reserved and used during regular library hours. This includes sewing machines, 3D printers, multi-media equipment, cricuts, and glowforges.

Fun for the kids:
Viney Jones has so many AWESOME books, games, crafts, and programs for the kids. However, one item that is flying off the shelves is the "STEAM to GO!" kits. These kits engage future engineers to explore with hands on crafts, machines, electronics, and coding materials. These kits can be checked out just like library books! Pick Up one today!

Just like at your local library, you can Ask a Librarian! Just click the "Ask A Question" button in the center of the screen on our homepage and fill out the online form. Send us a description of what you need or what went wrong, and staff at Pinal County Library District will get back to you by phone or email (your choice) to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Please note that staff are only available during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Questions submitted after hours or on weekends will be answered the following business day.
