PCR SUCCESSFUL FOSTER TRAINING SESSIONS
This fall, PCR held two foster training sessions. One in Middleburg and the other in Gaithersburg. Each session had a great turnout, and fosters were given basic training information, tips for handling new foster dogs and swapped stories. Fostering is the backbone of our rescue, and we appreciate the time fosters took out of their busy days to learn more about animal rescue and fostering for PCR.
We hope to offer 2 more sessions in the Spring of 2017.
Stay tuned!

HOLIDAY SUPPLY DRIVE
Volunteers Needed
As the holiday season approaches, we are looking for volunteers to help us collect donations from local pet stores, offices, vets, or other locations. Volunteers are asked to secure a local business as a donation site to collect pet supplies.
We will provide a box for you to drop off at the business and ask that you check in regularly to collect any donated items. We are flexible with where you can drop off the collected donations throughout the
holiday season.
If you can assist in helping with our
Holiday Donation Drive, please email
Catherine at [email protected]

Dear PetConnect Rescue Friend,
The holiday season is quickly approaching.
Let's not forget those less fortunate than us, the abandoned cats and dogs who need our help, no matter what time of year it may be.
As you read below, please take note of the big
#GivingTuesday event. Keep all of the dogs and cats in mind who are sitting in scary, dark shelters, hoping for someone to come for them. They dream of a caring person who will offer them a safe, warm bed and a love-filled home.
On
Tuesday, November 29th
, your donation can make THE difference for a dog or cat in need.
Thank you!

Rescue Stories You Can't Forget
These animals are just three of the
hundreds who benefited from
On 11/29/16,
#GivingTuesday
kicks off
our annual holiday campaign. We hope you
can help us continue to save animals just
like Rocky, Sammy and Sunshine by
making
a holiday donation.
This adorable pup didn't always look
so happy and healthy. Rocky was
surrendered to a local shelter with
a multitude of health issues. One of our veterinary partners helped diagnose Rocky
with thyroid disease, which is easily treated
with medication. With medical intervention,
a lot of love and patience from his foster, Charles,
he made a miraculous recovery.
Where is Rocky now? Charles fell in love with
this
little guy and couldn't part with him.
A foster failure of the best kind!

Meet Sammy and Sunshine...
Say hello to this 8-week-old brother and sister duo.
They came into the Lenoir County, NC shelter after Hurricane Matthew, scared and covered with fleas. Now healthy and safe,
they are free to pounce and play all they want in
their foster home and are waiting
to be adopted into their forever homes.

THANK YOU For A Successful
Booster Campaign!
Thanks to your generous donations and a successful Booster, we raised $6,384.64 to help our heartworm positive dogs. Allie, Hope,
Devon and Mulan have started their treatment, and the remaining 3 will be treated
one-by-one very soon.
Your generosity has given these wonderful dogs the second chance they so deserve.
On behalf of the "Magnificent 7"
and everyone at PetConnect, thank you!
