2016 Citi Open!
July 16th
This year, PCR will once again be participating in Kid's Day at the Citi Open Tennis Tournament on Saturday, July 16 at the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center. It is always a fun event with kids and families interacting with various vendors around the site, watching tennis and, of course, hugging and playing with the PCR pets.

Thank you to Tennis Central for their help in spreading the word of our rescue throughout the event. For all of you tennis lovers out there, please check out their app by clicking here.

We have events to hold, funds to raise and lives to save. Please read below to see how you can help us continue the awesome work performed by our devoted PCR team.

Best Friends' Strut your Mutt!
  Saturday, October 1, 2016
9am to 1pm
Black Hill Regional Park
Germantown, MD

Every day, more than 9,000 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters, simply because they don't have safe places to call home. That number should be zero. That's why our team is participating in Best Friends Animal Society's Strut Your Mutt event once again!

PetConnect Rescue wants to continue to save abandoned dogs and cats who need us. But, this really is a team effort, and we need you, too!  Last year, we were able to raise just over $3,800.  We have set this year's goal at $5,000.  Please show your support by joining our team, becoming a virtual walker, or making a donation to support our team.  You do not need to bring a dog to participate in the walk.
Strut Your Mutt is about saving both
dogs and cats in need!

Lowell School
Art Auction
Thank you to the students at the Lowell School! Some very talented young artists, who also happened to be animal lovers, painted some
lovely pictures. These paintings were sold to
the  highest bidder, and the proceeds were
given to  PetConnect Rescue.
What a wonderful group of students!
PetConnect Rescue received a donation of
just over $1,100 because of their efforts.
A PCR team, including puppy Laci, made a
visit to the school to receive the donation
and to spread the word about rescue.
