Interested in a trip to Israel with Rabbi Julie?
Rabbi Julie Danan is exploring a unique tour to Israel, April 27 - May 6, 2020, led by Mejdi Tours, a respected tour operator that has been used by some of our members,  http://www.mejditours.com/

This tour is suggested for adults who want to go behind the headlines for a deeper encounter with people and groups dedicated to building
co-existence and peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The tour is suitable and designed for Jewish travelers and those of other faiths to explore the land and the issues together.

Cost for the tour, including 9 nights' accommodations and many meals, will probably be under $3,000 dual occupancy, plus airfare of approximately $1,000.
Click here for the proposed itinerary (not yet finalized as details are still being formulated).
Upgrades may be available.

From the Rabbi Rabbi Julie
LAMENTATIONS
What I'm lamenting this Tisha B'Av is the gun   violence in our country. I just got back from my summer break, sadly sitting down to post about Tisha B'Av (Saturday night-Sunday's fast for the destruction of the ancient Temples and a variety of other sad events).  On this full fast day we read from the book of Lamentations in the Bible. The scroll's  resonance with current events is pronounced: violence, mistreatment of refugees, hatred and division in society.
