AMA Offers Spotlight Analysis of Colorado's Opioid Work

The American Medical Association (AMA) has released a new “spotlight analysis” of Colorado's work to end the opioid epidemic. The “ Spotlight on Colorado: Best Practices and Next Steps in the Opioid Epidemic ,” is part of a four-state project the AMA has undertaken with Manatt Health and the respective state medical societies. These analyses mainly focus on the work being done in state departments of insurance, Medicaid and other key agencies and best practices as applicable to the individual state.

Importance of HIV, Hepatitis, and the Opioid Epidemic Advisory Letter

Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use Elinor McCance-Katz recently issued an advisory letter regarding the importance of addressing HIV, hepatitis and the opioid epidemic.
