The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), together with Massachusetts General Hospital’s Recovery Research Institute, invites health care professionals at all levels to watch a series of webcasts, The Power of Perceptions and Understanding: Changing How We Deliver Treatment and Recovery Services. The series includes discussions among experts in the field of addiction treatment, research, and policy on:
  • Overcoming stigma and ending discrimination
  • Why addiction is a “disease” and why it’s important
  • Reducing discriminatory practices in clinical settings
  • A future without discrimination and discriminatory practices
Each webcast recording includes a resource guide, and participants can earn up to 4.0 free continuing medical education/continuing education credits for watching the series.
