Happy New Year!
Since winter is here, it's important to know our inclement weather policy: if the hosting school or Montgomery County Public Schools have a delayed start or a closure, our programs are rescheduled to the snow date. We will post any schedule change information on our website,
www.parentscouncil.org
.

Student Leader Breakfasts
FYI only (note that no action is required by PCW Reps) -- in February, we will host two programs for students of PCW Member Schools: our Upper School Student Leader Breakfast will be on Tuesday, February 5 at Bullis School, and the Middle School Student Leader Breakfast will be on Tuesday, February 12 at The Langley School. Administrators at member schools select two students to participate in each of these forums.
Get Ready for our 2019 Best Practices Forum
Our Best Practices Forum will take place on
Tuesday,
April 9, 2019
from 6:00-8:30pm
(please note that the forum will be an evening program this year) at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in Washington, D.C. and is open to all parents, administrators, faculty, and staff from PCW member schools.
This year's topic is
Promoting Student Well-Being.
Later this month, we will send a letter and questionnaire to Heads of Schools and Parent Association Presidents asking each member school to submit information on their own school-specific best practices on the topic. School submissions will be due in March 2019. Information collected from each member school will be organized into an e-binder and posted on our website subsequent to the forum.
Best Practices e-binders from prior years remain a valuable resource and can be accessed
here
.
Please mark your calendar and encourage your school to contribute to the Best Practices e-binder!
