“Please join the Parents Council of Washington for its 2019 Best Practices Forum entitled Promoting Student Well-Being, taking place on  Tuesday, April 9, 2019   from 6:00-8:30pm  at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, 1524 Thirty-Fifth Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Come and learn from panelists representing 5 different member schools, who will provide best practices and takeaways on varied aspects of well-being – intellectual, emotional, mental, physical, cultural, environmental, social, and digital. Download a flyer  here and RSVP   here .

FYI, in February, we sent a letter and questionnaire to Heads of Schools and Parent Association Presidents asking each member school to submit information on their own school-specific best practices on the topic. School submissions will be due by April 1, 2019 . Information collected from each member school will be organized into an e-binder and posted on our website subsequent to the forum.  Best Practices e-binders from prior years remain a valuable resource and can be accessed  here.   Please encourage your school to contribute to the Best Practices e-binder!

Save the Date! Parent Association Presidents' Forum

For both incoming and outgoing Parent Association Presidents! Our annual Parent Association Presidents’ Forum will be on Tuesday, May 7 from 8:30-11:00 am at the Primary Day School ( 7300 River Road, Bethesda, MD). This event offers an informative discussion for incoming PA Presidents, with advice and insight from outgoing PA Presidents. It is an opportunity to hear how different schools structure their parent associations, and to learn some “tips and tricks” for juggling the significant responsibilities of being a PA President. Please encourage your current and incoming PA Presidents to attend!
