  • Join us for an informative discussion with New York Times best-selling author Jeff Selingo regarding his extensive research and newly released book Who Gets In and Why: A Year Inside College Admissions and Ned Johnson, founder of PrepMatters and co-author of The Self-Driven Child: The Science and Sense of Giving Your Kids More Control Over Their Lives.
  • This speaker series event will provide insight into finding colleges that will be a good fit and how college admission decisions are made. Notably the program will address admission processes during the pandemic such as changing classroom assessments and grading policies, lack of varied extracurricular activities and sports, standardized tests and test-optional policies, virtual visits, and more.

Winter Program: Talking With Kids About Racism January 14, 2021

  • Please join us for a panel discussion with three experts:
  • Michelle Black - Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart;
  • Rodney Glasgow - President, The Glasgow Group and Head of School at Sandy Spring Friends School; and
  • Steven Lee - Director of Equity and Inclusion and Health, Values, and Ethics Department Chair at Edmund Burke School.
  • The panelists will discuss productive ways to talk about racism with kids of all ages, addressing conversations between parents and their kids and conversations between schools and families.
