Dear God, thank you for today and every day.
Please help us to keep our hearts, minds and hands turned to your presence,
listening to your call and working for your Kingdom.
Luke 1:47-55

And Mary said,
I’m bursting with God-news; I’m dancing the song of my Savior God.
God took one good look at me, and look what happened—
I’m the most fortunate woman on earth!
What God has done for me will never be forgotten,
the God whose very name is holy, set apart from all others.
His mercy flows in wave after wave on those who are in awe before him.
He bared his arm and showed his strength, scattered the bluffing braggarts.
He knocked tyrants off their high horses, pulled victims out of the mud.
The starving poor sat down to a banquet; the callous rich were left out in the cold.
He embraced his chosen child, Israel;
he remembered and piled on the mercies, piled them high.
It’s exactly what he promised, beginning with Abraham and right up to now.
     (The Message)
Love Has Come

Love has come; a light in the darkness! Love shines forth in the Bethlehem skies.
See, all heaven has come to proclaim it; hear how their song of joy arises:
Love! Love! Born unto you, a Savior! Love! Love! Glory to God on high.

Love is born! Come share in the wonder. Love is God now asleep in the hay.
See, the glow in the eyes of his mother; what is the name her heart is saying?
Love! Love! Love is the name she whispers. Love! Love! Jesus, Emmanuel..

Love has come and never will leave us! Love is life everlasting and free.
Love is Jesus within and among us. Love is the peace our hearts are seeking.
Love! Love! Love is the gift of Christmas. Love! Love! Praise to you, God on high.
Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming

Lo, how a rose e’er blooming from tender stem hath sprung.
Of Jesse’s lineage coming, by faithful prophets sung.
It came, a flow’ret bright, amid the cold of winter, when half-spent was the night.

Isaiah ‘twas foretold it, the rose I have in mind.
With Mary we behold it, the virgin mother kind.
To show God’s love aright she bore for us a Savior, when half-spent was the night.
Away in a Manger

Away in a manger;
no crib for his bed, the little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,
the little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing; the poor baby wakes,
but little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus; look down from the sky,
and stay by my side until morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus:
I ask thee to stay close by me forever and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,
and fit us for heaven to live with thee there.
Good Christian Friends, Rejoice

Good Christian Friends, rejoice with heart and soul and voice:
Give ye heed to what we say: Jesus Christ is born today;
Ox and ass before him bow, and he is in the manger now.
Christ is born today! Christ is born today!

Good Christian Friends, rejoice with heart and soul and voice:
Now ye hear of endless bliss: Jesus Christ was born for this!
He has opened heaven’s door, and we are blest forevermore.
Christ was born for this! Christ was born for this!

Good Christian Friends, rejoice with heart and soul and voice:
Now ye need not fear the grave; Jesus Christ was born to save!
Calls you one and calls you all to gain the everlasting hall.
Christ was born to save! Christ was born to save!
Closing Prayer
Dear God, thank you for giving us your Son, Jesus Christ, who showed us the Way. Please help us to follow where he leads us. Amen.
