Speak Up -- PD Active Annual Survey Launches in June

PD Active’s strength lies in the fact that our programs and priorities are set “by and for” those affected by Parkinson’s in the Bay Area. For the past several years we have conducted a survey of our members to find out where we are meeting needs and where we might do more or new or different. When the survey launches June 1, we hope you will respond particularly with your thoughts about reintroducing in-person events. Your voice counts.

UCSF to Conduct Remote Study

A remote study called MICRO-PD (Microbiota Intervention to Change the Response of PD) will be led by Dr. Caroline Tanner and Dr. Ethan Brown, neurologists at the University of California San Francisco. The purpose of this study is to test whether abnormal bacteria in the gut of people with PD are driving complications of levodopa, such as fluctuations, or inflammation that may be causing symptoms in PD.

For more information about the study and how to participate, read more here or contact Hannah Potter: Hannah.McCarthyPotter@UCSF.edu.
