ILLINOIS ONLINE ACADEMY | UPCOMING WORKSHOPS | ADMINISTRATOR ACADEMIES

As your partner in professional learning, the Kane County Regional Office of Education will keep you updated on the latest workshops, academies, and subscriptions available through our office.

With Halloween coming this week, the holiday season is on its way. If you are looking for a gift for a colleague, friend, or any educator in your life, our "Inspire" subscription box could be the perfect surprise!

Each month, you can order curated professional learning activities from the Kane County ROE that can immediately be used in your classroom and also completed for PD hours. Choose your own subscription type, send us your preferred shipping location, and we'll do the rest! All you'll have to do is unbox and enjoy (just like the video above).

The window to order our November theme, "Optimizing Attendance", will be open until the end of October. You can then order throughout next month for our December theme: "Harnessing Data for Informed Decision-Making (How to Increase Your Data Literacy)".

Click below to see themes for each month, subscription plans, and think about who you can "Inspire"!

If you're in search of some inspiration or new strategies to implement in your classroom, Branching Out is here for you! Here are just a couple examples of these complimentary tips from our Professional Learning Team.

Three Shaped Discussion

This tactic gives educators and students a new, meaningful way to engage in reflective learning by using different shapes to help organize thoughts and deepen discussions!

Shine, Refine, Align

This strategy has students write down independent thoughts, combine them, and compare with peers to see what each student took from a given lesson. This offers a unique way for them to not only collaborate, but also connect and retain content!

New episodes of Branching Out are released every Thursday across our social media platforms and our website. You can also browse our full catalog below. With over 100 episodes and counting, there's a video for every educator looking to branch out!
