Celebrating National SEL Week

We are excited to enter this period from March 3-7 that is dedicated to the impact of social emotional learning on the lives of students, educators, and our communities. SEL in the classroom is essential for children to develop the life skills needed to problem solve and build relationships later in life, and research backs the idea that students can best obtain these skills in a supportive learning environment.

As an SEL Hub, the Kane County ROE is proud to partner with our schools to deliver SEL-based professional learning opportunities and programs. Throughout this week, we will share resources on our social media channels, and you can also find several below.

Thank you for Joining us for Kane County Institute Day

On Friday, we were fortunate to connect with over 1,000 participants at the Q Center in St. Charles, at the Arts Ed Institute at Central High School, and through our host site partner organizations across the county. This event is made possible through your contributions, the content in your presentations, the ideas you share, and the relationships you create.

We thank each of our gifted speakers, including our Kane County educators and students, that lent their voices and shared insights that will undoubtedly benefit your colleagues and peers moving forward.
