ILLINOIS ONLINE ACADEMY | UPCOMING WORKSHOPS | ADMINISTRATOR ACADEMIES

As your partner in professional learning, the Kane County Regional Office of Education will keep you updated on the latest workshops, academies, and subscriptions available through our office.

This new course from the Illinois Online Academy is written for individuals, in any school leadership capacity, to learn and apply ethical leadership principles. It is also designed for teachers and administrators as they work to create and manage teams in schools.

This course will include the theories of teams and ethical leadership, provide knowledge and application for individuals to function as ethical leaders, and display tools for developing teams and operating within ethical leadership principles. Participants will also discuss how to create high-performing teams and what stages of progress those groups go through.

A peek into the process behind Illinois Online Academy

At the ROE, we aim to provide professional learning experiences that can make a meaningful impact on classroom practices while empowering educators with strategies and ideas that allow them to guide their students to success. Our team has been entrenched in creating and delivering this type of content with input from our networking group members that represent the very districts we serve.

Like the new course above, much of this is offered through the Illinois Online Academy. Click below to see our team walk through the work that goes into shaping this near-decade-old platform, and how the districts we serve play a crucial role in the process.

As we enter the final months of the school year, we hope some offerings in this catalog or included in this newsletter will benefit your professional learning journey.

Microlearning activities through P.L.A.Y., professional learning subscription box plans through Inspire, and various book studies are always available to you.

New classroom strategies are at your disposal with our weekly series, Branching Out! Here are just a couple examples of these complimentary tips from our Professional Learning team.

Appreciate, Apology, or Aha

Fostering a strong community in your classroom is a crucial component of a positive learning environment.

Faye Licari has an inspiring teaching strategy for students to share their learning experience. This not can only strengthen their emotional intelligence, but also their bond with one another!

Success Analysis Protocol

Would you like to help students learn from their accomplishments? This strategy from Jordan Eggleson prompts them to present a success story to peers and answer resonating questions.

This activity provides students an opportunity to reflect on what led to that achievement and what it taught them about success.

New installments of Branching Out are released every Thursday across our social media platforms and website. You can also browse our full catalog below. With over 100 episodes and counting, there's a video for every educator looking to branch out!
