The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) will host its annual Fundamentals of Lyophilization course at the Training and Research Institute (TRI) on May 1st and 2nd. The comprehensive two-day course covers basic principles of the science and technology, along with practical aspects and applications.
The course is presented by Ed Trappler, President and Founder of Lyophilization Technology. Ed has presented the Fundamentals of Lyophilization for the PDA since 1986, with constant updates to the material presented to reflect the current state of the science and technology. The topics covered begin with the basics as an introduction and include discussions on the process, equipment, as well as in-depth discussion on each process part. Also covered are finished product characteristics, as well as preparations for conducting technology transfer.
