-ISSUE 035-

“The magic in new beginnings is truly the most powerful of them all.” — Josiyah Martin

As we prepare to close out 2022 and reflect on the past 12 months, we cannot help but be utterly grateful. We are grateful for our friends, partners, and cherished clients and for the good work our clients do to improve their communities. We consider ourselves honored to be a part of your team and along for this ride with you.

We look forward to the beginning of the new year, even as we end this one as busy, if not busier than we began, wrapping up year-end projects and already diving headfirst into exciting 2023 projects for our clients.

We are so proud of everything we have accomplished with you this year, and we can’t wait to see what you do next year! Cheers to what’s to be in 2023!

TRANSPORTATION

As we celebrate 16 years of partnership with the California Transportation Commission (CTC), we are pleased to share our latest project: the 2022 Annual Report to the California Legislature. Established in 1978, CTC is responsible for programming and allocating funds for the construction of highway, passenger rail, transit, and active transportation improvements throughout California.

Each year, our creative team works closely with CTC to design and develop an annual report and a summary brochure to complement the annual report. The project is highly creative and is typically completed within a relatively tight production schedule. Our team is grateful for the long-standing partnership with CTC.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The Monterey County Workforce Development Board’s (MCWDB) Green Cadre program works with young adults who are unemployed, out of school, and looking for an opportunity to advance critical environmental projects in our community, learn key job skills, and earn a living wage. This 24-week program allowed participants to work on environmental, conservation, and natural resource projects, such as parks and trail maintenance, tree planting, wildfire mitigation and prevention, and habitat restoration, all while getting paid $18 per hour!

MCWDB partnered with PDDG to produce the marketing and outreach pieces for the program, including the program logo, flyers, a website landing page, an online application, and social media content.

The Green Cadre program is powered by #CaliforniansForAll Youth Job Corps and is one of the MCWDB’s five Cadre initiatives, along with Health Cadre, Technology Cadre, Impact Cadre, and Future Innovators Cadre.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Over the past year, PDDG has continued to expand our reach domestically and abroad in higher education. We are now entering another year of our partnership with the EPIC-Network, a global non-profit working to unite the human capital of universities with local governments and communities to improve the quality of life and social wealth for all parties involved.

Our range of delivered services has included in-depth strategic communications, social media management, creative services, and more. Additionally, we are grateful to continue supporting EPIC-N’s expansion into Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
