-ISSUE 054-

July: The month where everyone pretends to know how to grill, fireworks are the only acceptable form of noise pollution, and our collective attention span is shorter than a TikTok video.

But amidst the backyard barbecues and beach bonfires, we've been having an absolute blast bringing your visions to life. Seriously, working with you all is like finding a perfectly ripe watermelon on the first try – sweet, refreshing, and full of surprises. We've laughed, we've brainstormed, and we've created some truly awesome stuff together. So, while you're busy enjoying the summer vibes, you can rest easy knowing your organization's marketing and communications projects are in good hands.

Let's dive into this month's design extravaganza and keep the good times rolling!

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

NeighborWorks Waco, a Texas non-profit dedicated to fostering strong communities through housing and community-building efforts, has joined forces with NBC for an inspiring Olympic-themed campaign called "Breaking Barriers." This powerful initiative shines a spotlight on extraordinary American athletes who have defied incredible odds to represent their country on the world's biggest stage.

One such inspiring figure featured in the campaign is Wilma Rudolph, the legendary track and field star often hailed as the fastest woman alive. Against all odds, Rudolph conquered polio as a child to not only walk but to soar to Olympic glory, winning multiple gold medals at the 1960 Rome Olympics. Her impact extended far beyond the track, as she became a vocal advocate for civil rights.

PDDG, a strategic partner, played a pivotal role in bringing this campaign to life. We collaborated closely with NBC on the production and media strategy for the "Breaking Barriers" segments, as well as the creation of a captivating fifteen-second commercial for NeighborWorks Waco. These inspirational segments and the commercial are now airing on local NBC stations in central Texas, reaching a wide audience and spreading the organization's mission.

PARKS & RECREATION

Over the past three years, we have proudly partnered with the Town of Holly Springs, a growing biomanufacturing hub just outside Raleigh, North Carolina, on a series of design and public outreach deliverables.

Most recently, the Town recruited our creative team to develop customized map graphics for the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department. The development process included creation of an overall town-wide park/facilities map and then creation of the first in a series of individual park-specific map graphics.

This project will continue to roll out over the coming months. We’re excited to see the full suite of graphics completed. Click here to see the map graphic for Ting Park.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

NWPA Job Connect, the local workforce development agency serving northwest Pennsylvania, selected PDDG to build a new, interactive, and fully reimagined website presence for the organization.

Working closely with NWPA Job Connect staff, our web development team set out to craft a clean, modern, and professional website experience for high-caliber users representing the business community, board members, and elected officials in the region, all while leveraging the entity’s vibrant brand color palette. Additionally, we developed a members-only secure portal for the sharing of important documents.

The final website received very positive feedback from the client and stakeholders. Click here to visit the new NWPA Job Connect website.
