PDDG Design Notes – June 2022

As we say goodbye to another year, it’s time to reflect on how wonderful this year was! No, it may not be December 2022, but for most of our public-sector clients, June 30^th marks the end of the program/fiscal year as they work on a July 1-June 30 calendar. So, our team has been ramping up year-end projects and program wrap-up initiatives, along with our private sector work (which typically runs on the calendar year).

Needless to say, June gets a little crazy for us, and we couldn’t do what we do without our awesome Creative Team. They work tirelessly to ensure that our clients are successful and finish the year strong. Hands down, they are the best, and we are fortunate to work with them.

And we are fortunate to work with you, our clients, and friends. So, whether you work on a July-June or January-December calendar, CHEERS to you for the amazing work that you do! Wait a minute…if July 1^st is the beginning on the year, should we celebrate June 30^th like New Year’s Eve? We think we might be on to something here…

TOURISM

Our friends at the Town of Queen Creek recently enlisted our help to design and deploy their first-ever tourism website. Working closely with the Town’s amazing communications team, we crafted a vibrant, engaging design solution, with a simple, easy-to-use navigation, and a robust directory of local dining establishments.

PUBLIC SERVICE

The Lake County Juvenile Justice Council (LCJJC), a relatively new addition to the PDDG Team, is a consortium of individuals, county officials, and representatives of community-based agencies that deal with issues concerning juvenile delinquency in Lake County, Illinois.

Earlier this year, our team completed a new branding program for LCJJC, branded stationery templates, and informational outreach collateral. Most recently, we launched a new public website for LCJJC to serve as an informational portal for stakeholders and families throughout Lake County. RETAIL

This month marks the three-year anniversary of our partnership with Roadrunner Glass Co., a glass specialty company based in California’s Central Valley. Over the past three years, our creative team has assisted Roadrunner Glass Co. with several marketing tasks, including the design of a new website, customer-focused collateral, signage, promotional items, and social media management.

Fun Fact: Both Roadrunner Glass Co. and PDDG were founded in 1977 in Northern California!

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The service industry sector continues to struggle to recover from the pandemic due, in part, to a shortage of workers. One of the issues fueling this problem is the difficulty finding and paying for childcare. Of course, without affordable and dependable childcare, parents are unable to enter or remain in the workforce. Across the country, workforce development organizations are working to address this challenge.

Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas’ Service Industry Recovery (SIR) program aimed to fill the affordable childcare gap for parents working in eligible service industries. Workforce Solutions, a long-standing client of PDDG, engaged us to produce print and digital ads to promote the program to encourage enrollment for eligible parents working in the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation, Food Service and Accommodation, and Retail Trade industries.

PDDG UK Office Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

This month marks the one-year anniversary of the opening of PDDG’s first international office location. Based in Leeds, England, the PDDG UK Office serves our existing and prospective clients in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
