PDDG Design Notes – June 2023

Happy New Year! As we say goodbye to another year, it’s time to reflect on how wonderful this year was! No, it may not be December 2023, but for most of our public-sector clients, June 30th marks the end of the program/fiscal year as they work on a July 1-June 30 calendar.

So, our team has been ramping up year-end projects and program wrap-up initiatives, along with our private sector work (which typically runs on the calendar year). Needless to say, June gets a little crazy for us, and we couldn’t do what we do without our awesome Creative Team. They work tirelessly to ensure that our clients are successful and finish the year strong. Hands down, they are the best, and we are fortunate to work with them.

And we are fortunate to work with YOU, our clients, and friends. So, whether you work on a July-June or January-December calendar, CHEERS to you for the amazing work that you do!

(So, yeah, maybe we’re making up a holiday, but celebrate responsibly anyway.)

LAWN & GARDEN

2023 marks 11 years since our first project with Applied Landscape Materials and NorCal Wholesale Bark. The two companies work together to sell, deliver, and apply landscape materials for residential and commercial customers, and are highly regarded throughout California and Nevada. Over the years we have worked on a variety of web-based marketing projects.

We just recently launched a fully redesigned and renewed website presence for Applied Landscape Materials with the goal of vastly improving the overall user experience, streamlining the online quote request process, and providing a cleaner and more professional image.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

We are pleased to welcome the Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission (NTRPDC) to the PDDG Family! NTRPDC, joining our friends from Advance Central PA and NWPA Job Connect, is the third Pennsylvania-based workforce development board to enlist our team’s marketing communications expertise.

Over the coming months, we will be crafting a logo and brand new website presence for a career-focused initiative helping to connect students to meaningful career experiences, including job shadows and internships.

HIGHER EDUCATION

We are proudly celebrating five years of partnership with the Institute of International Education (IIE), a global not-for-profit that designs and implements international education strategies and program services in partnership with governments, policymakers, educators, and employers across the globe to prepare students and professionals for the global workforce.

Over the past five years, the PDDG Team has served as the marketing agency of record for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, as well as supported marketing communications and outreach efforts of EducationUSA, Boren Awards, and Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program.

PDDG UK Office Celebrates 2nd Anniversary

This month marks the second anniversary of the opening of PDDG’s first international office location. Based in Leeds, England, the PDDG UK Office serves our existing and prospective clients in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

2023 AZ Governor’s Conference on Tourism

PDDG is returning, after a brief hiatus, as an exhibitor at the Arizona Governor’s Conference on Tourism (GCOT), the premier educational and information-sharing event in the state for travel professionals and destination marketers. GCOT will be held in Tucson from July 10-12. If you will be attending this year, please stop by our booth and say hello. Plenty of the world-famous PDDG light-up pens will be available!
