-ISSUE 028-

Conference season continues! Our team has been fortunate to participate and exhibit in multiple conferences over the last few months, and in May alone we’ve loved seeing our workforce friends and clients at both the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals 2022 Annual Conference in Las Vegas and at the California Workforce Association 2022 WORKCON Conference in San Diego. And our team across the pond in England has been working diligently on multiple tourism, trade, and higher education projects throughout the UK, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Are we busy? Yeah! Are we loving it? You know it! Read on for more of the industry projects and programs we are working on, and if you or your organization has any initiatives that we can help you with, please reach out to us!

The Monterey County Workforce Development Board (MCWDB) partnered with Facebook/Meta to offer Monterey County small businesses and young adults, ages 18-24, the opportunity to apply for and participate in the Facebook/Meta Career Connections Summer Fellowship Program. The program allows young adults to develop digital marketing skills and participate in a competitively paid internship experience for the summer of 2022. Moreover, the program helps small businesses to take their social media and digital marketing presence to the next level.

The MCWDB brought in PDDG to execute the marketing and application process in a very tight turnaround time. With breakneck speed, PDDG built a dedicated website, online application tools for both young adults and small businesses, print collateral, and a full organic and paid social media campaign. After the short, two-week program application period, the MCWDB received 177 applications for summer internships and 40 small business applications for this amazing program! We have just launched a fully reimagined tourism website for our friends at the City of Suffolk, a wonderful client of PDDG since 2018. Over the past few months, the PDDG web design team worked closely with Suffolk Tourism to craft a completely new, user friendly, engaging, and modern website experience that properly captures Suffolk’s charm and appeal.

The new website includes a great overview of the many recreational and historical activities available across Suffolk, a robust events calendar, directory of local businesses, and multiple fun itineraries for visitors of all interests and backgrounds. Visit the all-new VisitSuffolkVA.com website.

Building upon our prior work with the Town of Holly Springs, a growing biomanufacturing hub just outside Raleigh, North Carolina, our creative team was enlisted to design professional patriotic-themed banners to be placed on light poles around town.

We worked closely with the client to ensure the design was vibrant, clean, modern, and most importantly respectfully and tastefully produced. The finished product came out perfectly!

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend 2022

We have some fun, historic news coming out of England, home to our agency’s first UK office. Earlier this year, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and the Commonwealth. To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives have taken place throughout the year, culminating in a four-day UK bank holiday weekend from June 2-5, 2022.
