-ISSUE 034-

How is it already the end of November? 2022 has flown by at break-neck speed with no signs of slowing down. November has seen us push full steam ahead with producing exciting projects, celebrating client milestones, and cheering on young basketball players. And we are gearing up for an even busier month to close the year.

But in the mad dash to reach the finish line, we want to pause a moment in the spirit of thanksgiving to reflect on what we are thankful for — our clients who’ve become friends and friends who’ve become family. We wish you all a delightful holiday season, and we’ll see you at the finish line!

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION

The California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls (CCSWG) enlisted our creative team to design and produce the California Blueprint for Women’s Pandemic Economic Recovery. The first of its kind, the Blueprint is designed as a foundational document that explores the unique economic impact the pandemic had on California women using specific state-level metrics such as Unemployment Insurance, debt levels, and CalFresh Benefits with comparisons to national data.

This report provides key insights on the status of women and serves as a call to action for the future. CCSWG’s Blueprint explores in-depth the intersectionality of COVID’s impact on women, their families and the state’s economic standing. It makes policy recommendations and overall, makes a case for public policymaking and crisis response using a gender lens.

In addition to designing the 166-page Blueprint publication, we also produced a 12-page Executive Summary and social media graphics. Click here to view these important documents.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Advance Central PA, the premier workforce development resource for jobseekers and employers in Central Pennsylvania, and PDDG client for nearly three years, recruited our web development team to comprehensively rebuild the Path to Careers website in an improved, user-friendly manner leveraging an open-source content management system.

Path to Careers is a web-based platform seamlessly facilitating the connection between businesses, schools, and students, all in an effort to provide valuable career pathways resources. Working closely with the Advance Central PA team, we crafted this robust website, complete with numerous custom plugins and tools, including a dedicated back-end resource for businesses, schools, and students to manage their respective online accounts. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA) leads and executes strategies designed to grow and diversify the economic base of the greater Albuquerque region, creating a prosperous, diverse, and inclusive economy and elevating the standard of living for all.

We had the sincere pleasure of collaborating with our good friends at AREA to design, develop, and deploy an informative and engaging talent attraction microsite to highlight the many benefits of living, working, studying, and raising a family in the greater Albuquerque region. NOTEWORTHY

PDDG Celebrates Client Milestone

We are currently celebrating the milestone of 35 years since our first project with California State University, Sacramento (CSUS), and we are thrilled to still be actively partnering with the university on a wide array of marketing and website development projects. Our very first project was the creation of the university’s 40th anniversary brand/identity and a suite of supporting materials in 1987.

Our agency has many connections with CSUS, including PDDG’s founder, Patricia Davis, supporting the Department of Design for many years, as well as several PDDG team members having graduated with various degrees from CSUS. One of our largest recent collaborations with CSUS was the complete redesign and relaunch of the university’s website three years ago.

PDDG Sponsors Youth Basketball Team

We are pleased to continue our support of various community groups and causes in the regions in which PDDG offices are located. Our Southern California office, located near Los Angeles, is proudly sponsoring a youth basketball team for the current season. This group of young athletes is part of a recreational competition league and made it to the championship game last season.
